I have a hard drive attached to my router and VLC didn't work for me, can't seem to connect. Bubble UPNP works on the first try.
How does one stream FROM Vlc? I can pick up other DLNA devices and their content but how can I cast content? That is, I want to play music from Android to my DLNA Amplifier! Is it possible?
Are there any other FLOSS alternatives – or at least any apps that are not full of trackers?

Out of all the apps mentioned in this video only the LocalCast for Chromecast played the downloaded movies on my Android device without hiccups.

Which of them can stream Youtube videos (best) to DLNA TV dongle – and has not to much megabytes ? Or what other best solution? (my android doesn't Miracast and dongle w/o Cromecast)
VLC will only show a maximum of 200 files so is a pointless option if you have a large video library………
