  1. Thank you for your this, quick question. What’s the deal with you having to put in a password?? Is that just a Mac thing. Mine didn’t ask for password but also didn’t work.

  2. Thanks for the great tutorial! 2 questions: Is it possible to start – stop – and start the stream again? I've heard, that once the key is activated, the stream starts automatically and could not be used a second time. And, please let me know, what's the difference to use RTMP compared to the webcam output on my MacBook. Is the quality better or the stream more stable trough RTMP as when I connect the ATEM to as a webcam? Thanks a lot!

  3. Thanks ! But my Mac won't allow me to edit the xml file using the 'TextEdit', saying that I don't have the permission to do so. Also I would like to be able to change the resolution from 1080p to 720p, is that possible ?

  4. So you mention you can use these settings for Wowza yet don't go into any details on how to set it up for Wowza. As wowza uses a user name (source) and password (key?) so what am I missing 🙂

  5. Thanks for making this video! Does this work with DaCast? I've used DaCast with Teradek encoders and I know they say it works with "all RTMP encoders". When I asked their support chat about obtaining the stream key they said: "We need to enter the authentication of the live channel (login and password) as this is how it works to stream on Akamai network…to stream over dacast you will need an RTMP type of encoder and camera…Over dacast to stream our channel you need to put the Stream URL, Stream key and log in and password" Perhaps this will all be really simple and I'm just overthinking it. But if it does work with DaCast, can you kindly guide me in the right direction on HOW to do this? Thank you!

  6. Wow what a mess to change that, in fmle and obs it´s just a couple of boxes you have to deal with, two for the rtmp and streamkey and a few more for the quality you want not a looooong text file

  7. John, I know you are good with code, so you might be the right person to make a follow up video. Looking at the default code for the ATEM, does the 1080p mean anything, if I stream at 720p to Facebook should this change? Are the data rates maximum numbers. Also, what type of data might we have to add for other CDN's? (I'm setting my Mini Pro up with ChurchStreaming.TV as a CDN, so a smallish streaming platform.)

  8. Hello. I have a question. How did you do this training video? How did you quickly zoom in and out to areas you wanted to make it nice and easy? or did you do this in post production? I am trying to find ways to do training videos like these while sharing screen and quickly zooming in and out, highlighting things, showing mouse click, etc. Please help ?
