Is there a way to do this for my website?
I want to be able to start up VLC anytime from home and have what ever I am streaming start up live on my website.

This never works for me (for any source). Always get "Your input can't be opened: VLC is unable to open the MRL 'a.b.c.d:8080'." and if I try top access via web interface from browser I only get option to save file to disk (stream is actually being saved, but thats not the main point of streaming). RTP is better because it works and can be broadcasted to multiple computers. Check my RTP tutorial yjniMqZw8g
