  1. I have a problem. My ps4 doesn't shows up in the streaming options. The router is the same, i'm even on both wireless connection (usually i go for ps4 cable and pc wifi) and i enabled everything but i can't see the console to enable at all. 3 days of struggle. Is there a solution for this? my ps3 and xbox360 never had an issue with that.

  2. Thanks for the video, this is what finally enabled me to see and play videos from my computer to the PS3.. but.. the playback is super choppy. I'm befuddled as to how 2 devices connected by cables to the same router suffer from worse transfer rates than say.. streaming something from Netflix.

  3. THANK YOU! I've tried to do this a few times and some forums come up with all weird and wonderful ways of doing this. Wish all information vids were like yours, top notch!

  5. When you say "make all the media available in my library to this device", what it really means is all the media that is visible in the library of Windows Media Player.   WMP should be opened so you know what will show up on the PS3.  If you remove a folder or file from the library from WMP, it won't be visible on the PS3.  I don't think you need WMP open for the streaming to work, but you do need whatever media (music, pics, vids) to appear in WMP's library.

  6. If te unknown device doesn't show up make sure media sharing is enabled on your ps3. go to settings, the very bottom and enable media server or sharing whatever it's called.

  7. Same as below, some guy you are. All other videos confused me, this is by far the simplest method, I don't use youtube that much but I will like and subscribe just to get your numbers up since I've been at it for a good hour and a half and as soon as I found this I got it first time in 2 minutes.

Anyone who has been trying the media server download thing from google (something like code.google.com/p/ps3mediaserver or something which is a waste of time) scratch it and do this instead. If you can't find any of the things he showed you bcause your computer is a different version like mine, hit control panel and search what you can't find like network and sharing, advanced option etc.

    Cheers again!

  8. Its possible this could be a conflict with your antivirus software or a firewall problem. You might need to temporarily disable them to see if they are causing a problem.

  9. Hi when it comes to the choose media streaming option I can't access the customize option on any of my devices! I click and click but no tiling happens! Ps it works on my laptop. Everything is connected to my router.

  10. That typically means that the device is not connected to the internet or a local network. Make sure your pc and ps3 are hooked up through he same router (wired or wireless should not matter) at the same time. Make sure that both can get internet access. I hope this helps. post more information about where you received this message if you still need help and I will see if i can get a better understanding of your situation.

  11. I would suggest making sure the "Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service" is started and set to automatic. You can find this by typing "Computer Management" in the search field and running the program. click Services on the left side and all your services are displayed in the center. Scroll down until you find the service and make sure it is running.
