Hey Gideon. Just watched this and it's great! I've been toying around the idea for our Rugby Club and some live stream options. We did the Live Stream on Facebook but realized we couldn't do a lot with it as far as editing and highlights. What I did like about the Live Stream is that we can mute the video. Can we do that on Wirecast Go?
I've now tried it multiple times and can't get it to work. Wish the app developer had some decent tutorials.
Well now, I failed hard in front of viewers 🙂 I did get wirecast but did not realize it was recording live – today I will figure it out – one question – when signing in to wirecast for the first time do you have to allow YouTube to manage your channel? I allowed it and now I have other videos waiting at the end of my video inside the frame – and it is not on autoplay – most are not mine – does this happen to you – or is there a way to connect youtube with wirecast without allowing youtube to manage my channel? Thank you for your help!
Gideon, great job! I just downloaded WireCast Go app today (got the 5.99 upgrade) and run few tests. What I like about it so far:
1. it's rather user-friendly to connect to YT and set up.
2. adding images that you want to show during your live stream – that's a nice feature
3. I'm not sure how easy is to replay highlights of part of the the live streaming
4. option to select between: public/private/unlisted access
5. Sharing link to live stream on social media
Things that I hope are going to be available soon:
1. to be able to save the video to camera roll
Things I still don't know how to use:
1. stream to any RTMP destination
2. in the Broadcast section (after you tap on the red dot) the difference between "…Live Stream" and "Start New Broadcast"
